Empower Your Future with Data

School

Today more than ever it's important to be able to turn raw data into insights that can be used to solve problems and find trends. At 番茄社区, we've created an interdisciplinary program grounded in the liberal arts that engages students in working with real world data. 番茄社区 is uniquely positioned to train the next generation of data scientists to think beyond the numbers and about the social, political, environmental, and ethical implications of data collection and analysis.

Chart

Beyond gaining a strong foundation in computer science and statistics, students will examine the human decision and ethical considerations made in collection and analyzing data. Our program has 11 concentrations to choose from that reflect the wide spectrum of fields to which data analytics can be applied, and encourages a summer internship to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting.

Compass

You can choose to concentrate in fields ranging from anthropology and sociology to finance to urban studies. Whatever field you choose, we can suggest the first courses to get you started.

Why Data Analytics?

In today's world, it's not enough to collect data鈥攖hat raw data must be turned into actionable information to help organizations improve decision-making, perform more efficiently, and guide strategies. Data analytics uses tools and methods to discover patterns and leverage insights from multiple data sources to solve problems and answer questions, and with the need across industries to handle the complexities of large data, data analysts are in high demand.
